The Three Levels of Kindness
Thank you for promoting kindness. A kind act can influence on three levels.
The First Level of Kindness
The first level of kindness is the individual level. It is about being kind to yourself. It is really hard to be kind to others when you are in the state of despair. If you are unhappy it is hard to be nice to others. You see others with very critical eyes and spend your time judging more that loving or understanding. It is not that you can’t do kind acts but it is difficult if you are not being kind to yourself. Many people do kind acts even when they are not kind to themselves, but it so much easier when you are at a place of peace and contentment with yourself and are capable of loving even your enemies. If you spend time complaining and whining every day, you need to start by being kinder to yourself.
The Second Level of Kindness
The second level of kindness is when you have an impact on the relationships in your life. These kind acts impact your family; your bosses and work peers; the waitress and others that are part of your everyday life. This is where everyday kindness lives. Not many of us have kindness as our job’s focus, however, kindness is always an option in every job and every relationship. Many people live from a place of everyday kindness. To honor these kind people, the Caring Heart Award was created.
The Third Level of Kindness
The third level of kindness is the level where a kind act has impact beyond your everyday acquaintances, It has impact to the world. This could be in the form of random acts of kindness or may be that you are influencing people to be more kind by being a kindness champion. Many times kind acts that you do at the relationship level may snowball beyond the people you know and impact more people than you realize. Kindness acts have made an impact in the world. To honor these kindness champions, the Kindness Warrior Award was created.
Thank you for spreading kindness each and every day.
